This is the newest addition to the Baby on the Way series, and it works just like Build the Crib, your Sims can now assemble a bassinet piece by piece, making the whole nursery preparation feel that much more intentional and story-driven.
Watching a Sim put together a crib was one of my favorite things, so I wanted to bring that same energy to the bassinet. And just like with the crib, your Sim will experience moodlets throughout the whole process that reflect where they are in the build.
It starts with Baby Prep Begins (Confident +1), the pieces are laid out and your Sim is ready to get started.

As they work through it, they’ll hit It’s Starting to Feel Real (Inspired +1) when the bassinet starts coming together, and Nearly There (Confident +1) when the finish line is in sight.

Once it’s done, a notification lets you know every little piece was put together with love and your Sim earns Ready for the Little One (Happy +2).

And when the last piece clicks into place, you’ll get a notification to make it official: every little piece was put together with love, and the baby’s first cozy spot is ready and waiting.

The baby’s first cozy spot is ready and waiting. Building the bassinet also levels up your Sim’s Handiness skill, so it’s a great activity to keep them busy while they wait for the baby to arrive. Kids can also help with the build, and when they do, they’ll level up their Mental skill in the process.

You can also ask any other Sim to help with the build. Just click on them and select Ask for Help Building the Bassinet to get an extra pair of hands on the project.

What you need for this Sims 4 Mod:
- The Sims 4 Parenthood Game Pack (required)
- Invisible Bassinet Mod (required for the final bassinet to be functional)
- Build the Crib, make sure you’re on the latest version to avoid any conflicts
Known Issues Some clipping may occur in certain situations.
Thank you for being here and for all the support on this series. As always, you get early access before it goes free for everyone. I have more ideas for Baby on the Way series, so it’s not over yet.
Happy Simming!
