If you’ve been on the fence about the Baby on the Way Sims 4 CC pack, consider this your sign. OshinSims, the YouTube creator known for her deeply immersive family gameplay and storytelling, just posted a full video covering both the CC pack and the Build the Crib mod, and she was not quiet about how much she loved it.
Her first reaction on camera: “I think this pack was actually made for me.“
She was joking. Kind of.

What Is the Baby on the Way Sims 4 CC Pack?
The Baby on the Way series is a two-part nursery Sims 4 CC Pack and mod collection I made for Simmers who love telling pregnancy stories and preparing for a new baby in-game. The focus is on that in-between stage where everything feels a little messy but completely meaningful. Freshly painted walls. Boxes that haven’t been unpacked yet. A crib that’s still in pieces on the floor.
Part 1 includes 18 decorative and build/buy items covering all of that nursery-prep energy, from a half-painted wall decal and a paint roller to a sonogram frame, a bunny plush, blankets, a diaper box, delivery boxes (in four variations), a baby bump board, and the crib itself in two unassembled flat-pack stages.
Part 2 introduces the Build the Crib mod, which turns crib placement into an actual gameplay moment. Instead of dropping a finished crib into a room and moving on, your Sims can now interact with the unassembled crib and build it themselves, step by step, across two phases.
What Did OshinSims Show in Her Video?
OshinSims set up two nursery rooms using the Doulie family from one of her LPs. The first room was purely decorative, styled with the delivery boxes, the half-painted wall decal, the paint roller, the step stool, the diaper box, the bunny plush, the changing table with clutter, the swaddle blankets, the sonogram frame, and the baby bump countdown board. She spent extra time on that last one: “For storytellers, this is gamechanging.” She talked about tracking her own pregnancy week by week and said the countdown board nailed that feeling.
The second room is where the Build the Crib mod came in. She had her pregnant Sim Jill and her husband Bruce build the crib together using the “Assist with Project” interaction, and she watched the whole thing play out in real time without fast forwarding. “That’s why I don’t want to fast forward. I just want to see how this slowly builds.“
Her Sims spent most of the build bickering, which she turned into a running joke about crib assembly and pregnancy hormones. By the end, they made up, the mobile was added, the lullaby played, and she was sold.
How Does the Build the Crib Sims 4 Mod Actually Work?
This is the most common question I get, so here it is directly:
You place the unassembled crib from Build/Buy mode. Once it’s in the room, you can have your Sim interact with it and choose “Start Working Carefully.” The build happens across two phases and takes roughly three to six in-game hours depending on whether your Sim works alone or with a partner. Building solo is faster. If another Sim is in the room chatting, it slows the process down, which honestly feels right.
Once the crib is finished, you can add a baby mobile that spins and plays a lullaby.
A few things worth knowing before you download:
The mod requires The Sims 4 Parenthood Game Pack. It is not an override, so your original Parenthood objects are not affected. A partner can join the build, though you may notice minor clipping depending on positioning. It doesn’t break the interaction, just something to be aware of. Children can technically build the crib too, which wasn’t my original plan but is a small design compromise I’m okay with. And if you’d rather skip the build interaction entirely, the fully assembled crib is also available as a separate placeable item.

Where Can You Download It?
Both parts of the Baby on the Way series are available here on sixam.cc. New CC typically goes to Patreon subscribers first as early access before becoming free, so if you want to be first in line for future packs, joining the Patreon is the way to do it.
