The Sims 4 Storybook Nursery Kit is an official EA kit I created in collaboration with the Maxis team. Inspired by the lore of Bella and Mortimer Goth, this kit brings fairy-tale nursery furniture and decor to infants and toddlers in The Sims 4. It is available now on the EA website.
What Is the Sims 4 Storybook Nursery Kit?
The Sims 4 Storybook Nursery Kit is a build and buy kit I officially developed alongside the EA Maxis team. It was announced in September 2024 and focuses on creating cozy, story-rich nursery spaces for infants and toddlers.
The concept draws directly from Sims lore, specifically the Goth family’s earliest years in Pleasantview. I’ve always been fascinated by the story of Bella and Mortimer Goth and the deep lore the community keeps uncovering, so when I had the chance to shape this kit’s direction, I knew exactly where I wanted to go. The kit includes furniture inspired by Aunt Agnes’s heirloom designs, a hot air balloon mobile featuring Bella Goth, and a wallpaper pattern inspired by The Sims 2’s Pleasantview neighborhood. The Sims team gave me the opportunity to include lore-inspired Easter eggs of MY FAVORITE GAME into MY FAVORITE GAME, and I still can’t believe that’s real.

How I Made This Kit with EA
This kit was the result of a nearly 10-month collaboration between me and the EA Maxis team. It started when I pitched ideas for different kit themes. Once the Storybook Nursery concept was selected, we moved into conceptual design, 3D modeling, swatch creation, copywriting, and promotional photography.
The team I worked with was incredible. We’re talking global community managers, art directors, conceptual artists, 3D modelers, and so many others behind the scenes. They made me feel like a true part of the team, and that experience really showed me just how much passion the Sims team puts into this game.
EA’s You Make the Sims feature spotlights this collaboration. You can read the full story on the EA blog.
For a deeper behind-the-scenes look, I also did a full interview about the process on the SixamCC blog. Read the Storybook Nursery Kit interview here.

What’s Included in the Storybook Nursery Kit
The Sims 4 Storybook Nursery Kit includes furniture and decor designed specifically for infant and toddler rooms. Here are some of the standout pieces:
Heirloom Crib – An exact replica of a crib carved by Gunther Goth, made of fine oak from Pleasantview’s forests. It supports infants and provides 4 energy. This one is so special to me.
Hot Air Balloon Mobile – A decorative ceiling piece featuring Bella Goth. I love how this turned out as a nod to her story.
Canopy Crib and Draped Fabrics – Grand, theatrical draping with deep jewel tones that give any nursery a fairy-tale castle feel.
Goth-Inspired Wallpaper – A Pleasantview-inspired pattern that weaves authentic Sims lore directly into your builds.
Every piece was designed to work together as a cohesive set, with swatches and styles that complement each other across the full kit.

Ways to Use the Storybook Nursery Kit in Your Game
One of the things I love most about this kit is how versatile it is. Here are some ideas to inspire your builds:
Build a Goth Family Legacy Nursery – Use the Heirloom Crib and Pleasantview wallpaper to create an authentic legacy nursery for a Goth family save. The lore details make this feel like a natural part of their story.
Go Full Dark Fairy-Tale – Lean into the jewel tones and dramatic canopy pieces. Pair them with dark wood floors and moody lighting for a gothic storybook nursery that is made for storytelling screenshots.
Create a Soft Romantic Nursery – The lighter swatches in this kit are gorgeous. Pair them with soft pinks and creams for a romantic, vintage-inspired infant room that feels warm and dreamy.
Tell a Sims 2 Throwback Story – Use the Pleasantview-inspired wallpaper as the foundation for a nostalgia build. This is such a fun concept for legacy storytellers and anyone who grew up with The Sims 2.
Mix with Other SixamCC Packs – This kit layers beautifully with other SixamCC furniture. Browse the SixamCC blog for room ideas and build inspiration.
Stage Infant Milestone Moments – The mobile and decorative pieces create stunning backdrops for in-game infant photography and storytelling posts. Your screenshots will look amazing.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Sims 4 Storybook Nursery Kit? The Sims 4 Storybook Nursery Kit is an official EA Maxis kit I created in collaboration with the Sims team. It includes nursery furniture and decor for infants and toddlers, inspired by Goth family lore and Pleasantview.
Who made the Storybook Nursery Kit? I did, alongside the EA Maxis team. I’m SixamCC, a Sims 4 custom content creator specializing in furniture and build mode items. This collaboration took nearly 10 months from pitch to release.
What is the difference between a Sims 4 Kit and a Creator Kit? An official Sims 4 Kit in collaboration with a community creator is a kit where the creator is responsible for the concept and works closely with the Maxis team on the creative direction, concept art, object designs, and descriptions, while the Maxis team is the one who actually builds and produces everything. Later, the Sims team announced a different format called Creator Kits. In a Creator Kit, the creator handles everything themselves, including the concept, 3D objects, descriptions, and promotional pictures, with no production support from the Maxis team. So while both involve community creators, the level of EA involvement is very different.
What Sims packs does the Storybook Nursery Kit require? The Storybook Nursery Kit is a standalone kit available for purchase through the EA App. Check the official EA product page for current requirements and compatibility details.
Does the Storybook Nursery Kit include infant-compatible furniture? Yes. The Heirloom Crib is specifically tagged to support infants in The Sims 4.
Where can I find more SixamCC content? You can browse all my releases on the SixamCC blog and follow along on Instagram for the latest updates, build inspiration, and new drops.
This kit is one of the most meaningful things I have ever created. Getting to embed real Sims lore into an official product and do it alongside a team that genuinely loves this game is something I will always be proud of. Thank you to everyone in this community who has supported SixamCC and made a collaboration like this possible. You are the reason this happened.
Happy Building!
