Meet the April Kits for The Sims 4: DIY, Elder Style & Lived-In Kitchens

The Sims 4 community just got its next wave of Kits, and there is something for every kind of player. Whether you love fixing up household items, decking out your elder Sims in style, or adding a lived-in feel to your kitchens, EA has you covered.

Here’s a breakdown of what’s coming and why you’ll want to grab each Kit as soon as it drops.

Restoration Workshop Kit

Turn your cluttered garage into a functional workshop. With this Kit your Sims can use their Handiness skill to revive broken appliances—microwaves, coffee makers, refrigerators and stoves—and bring them back to life. Build out a true tinkerer’s paradise with:

• Modular shelves packed with tools
• Dust-covered woodworking benches
• Water heaters, fuse boxes and a functional floor fan

“I find the combination of clutter and utility objects gives the perfect creative atmosphere for your Sim when pondering a next project,” says Danny Kovacs, Game Designer on the Kit Electronic Arts Inc.

Golden Years Kit

It’s time for elder Sims to enjoy the fruits of their labor. The Golden Years Kit adds wardrobe and accessories tailored to late-life activities, whether that’s a leisurely garden stroll or a light workout at the gym. Highlights include:

• Comfortable, age-appropriate clothing options
• Glasses with retainers so you won’t lose them
• Toupees, gardening gloves and more to showcase each elder Sim’s unique style

Kitchen Clutter Kit

Make your sim-family’s kitchen feel lived in with everyday clutter items. Scatter cookie jars, cereal boxes and grocery bags across the counters, then interact with them:

• Grab a snack straight from the cookie jar or cereal box
• Pack and use a functional lunchbox

“A kitchen that feels lived in gives a cozy vibe,” recalls Danny Kovacs Electronic Arts Inc.

Other clutter goodies include kitchen timers, recipe tablets, drying racks and colorful fridge magnets with creative drawings.
