Paralives, the long-awaited indie life sim developed by Paralives Studio, is just days away from its early access debut on Steam. Alongside the announcement of its May 25, 2026 release date, the team has shared a post-launch roadmap giving fans a look at what to expect in the months and years ahead. If you have not seen it yet, check out the Paralives gameplay trailer to get a feel for what the game looks like ahead of launch.
The roadmap is organized into three distinct phases. The first kicks off immediately at launch: players can jump in, explore the game in its current state, and help shape its future by submitting bug reports and feedback. Early access titles live or die by community involvement, and Paralives is leaning into that dynamic from day one.

The second phase, spanning June through September 2026, is dedicated to hotfixes. The studio plans to push performance optimizations, address bugs surfaced by players, fine-tune existing features, and deliver quality-of-life improvements based on early community feedback. This kind of reactive development is typical of early access launches, but the explicit commitment to a four-month stabilization window signals that the team is taking a methodical approach rather than rushing toward new content.
What free content is coming to Paralives
The most exciting part of the roadmap comes in phase three: free content updates, slated to roll out within roughly two years of the early access launch. The first major update is targeted for Q4 2026, with subsequent updates planned to bring weather and seasons, swimming pools, and pets, features that fans of the life sim genre have come to expect, and that the community has been vocal about wanting since Paralives was first announced.
The studio is quick to note that the roadmap is “subject to change, not final”, a sensible caveat for a small indie team navigating the unpredictability of game development. Even so, the level of transparency is a welcome signal of goodwill to a fanbase that has followed the project closely for years.
Paralives launches in early access on Steam on May 25, 2026.
