Loftia Is in Early Access, and Its Cozy Sky Islands Are Calling

Loftia is officially in Early Access! The cozy solarpunk MMO launched on November 3, 2026, and you can now jump into its floating-island world on PC and Mac through Steam and the Epic Games Store. There’s also a 17% launch discount, which makes this a tempting moment to start planning a little home in the sky.

What catches my attention is how much of Loftia revolves around making a place feel like home: decorating, growing things, and spending time with other people. Add a hopeful world built around sustainability, and I’m curious to see how all those everyday activities come together.

A cozy MMO with a brighter view of the future

Developed by Qloud Games, Loftia is a life sim set across floating islands where community and sustainable living shape the world. Think farming, crafting, decorating, and exploring in a persistent online space, with other players building their own routines alongside you.

I like the idea of an MMO where contributing to a shared project can be part of a relaxing evening. The appeal for me is having somewhere to return to, work on a small personal goal, and then wander off to see what everyone else is doing.

Four story chapters and three regions to explore

The initial Early Access version includes four chapters of the main story across Loftia City, the Hanging Gardens, and Gridfall, according to the official Steam listing. There are also side quests, Adventures, treasures, and World Projects beyond that main storyline.

The Hanging Gardens sound like the place I’d want to explore first: greenery, fishing spots, community farms, and a mysterious forest. Having a peaceful district with a little mystery tucked away in it is a lovely combination.

Gridfall brings a different pace. It’s the salvaging district, with air rails, tall buildings, and underground tunnels to investigate. I’m glad the launch areas offer different ways to spend time, especially when the mood shifts from a quiet fishing session to exploring with friends.

Yes, the decorating has my attention

There are plenty of outfits and decorations to unlock, with options for both your house and your island. That’s the part I keep coming back to: choosing a style, rearranging things, and slowly turning an empty space into somewhere that feels personal.

Farming and fishing round out those quieter routines, while Adventures and community projects give you reasons to head out into the wider world. Loftia also includes sustainable growing systems such as hydroponics. I like when a game’s setting shows up in what you actually do each day.

Can you enjoy Loftia on your own?

Yes. The official FAQ says playing solo won’t block your progress and that almost all content can be enjoyed that way. You’ll still need an internet connection, since Loftia is an online MMO. That flexibility matters: sometimes you want company, and sometimes you just want to work on your home.

Launch discount, languages, and what comes next

Loftia’s US base price is $29.99, with the 17% launch offer bringing it to $24.89. Steam lists the introductory offer as ending November 17, 2026; regional prices vary. You can check the current offer on Steam or the Epic Games Store.

This is still Early Access, so it’s the beginning of an evolving game. Qloud Games plans to keep adding content and improvements, and its current target is roughly a year before version 1.0, rather than a fixed full-release date.

For me, the combination of decorating a home and helping shape a shared world is the most interesting part. If you’ve been looking for another cozy place to spend your evenings, Loftia is one to keep an eye on. You can also browse more of my cozy gaming posts here.
