Baby on the Way Prenatal Vitamins Sims 4 Mod adds a small prenatal care routine for pregnant Sims. This mod centers on a Prenatal Wellness Tray that lets Sims take vitamins at different points of the day, creating a gentle preparation ritual for the baby on the way.
The tone of the mod is storytelling-focused. It is not meant to be a medical system. It adds routine, comfort, and small gameplay benefits without becoming overpowered.
What Include this Sims 4 Mod
- A Prenatal Wellness Tray object.
- Three time-based vitamin interactions.
- Notification messages for each routine.
- Custom moodlets.
- Animated vitamin-taking interaction.
Who Can Use It
The vitamin interactions are limited to pregnant Sims.
Supported ages:
- Young Adult
- Adult
The interaction is not restricted by gender. Any pregnant Sim who passes the game’s pregnancy test can use the tray.
Each Sim can take each routine once per in-game day:
- One morning dose.
- One afternoon dose.
- One bedtime dose.
After the Sim takes their daily dose, the button will be disabled until it’s time for the next one, that way we avoid Sims from overdoing it on vitamins 😉
Take Morning Vitamins
Available from 5:00 AM to 11:59 AM.
Morning vitamins are designed as the start-of-day routine. They give the Sim a small energy lift and help support appetite stability for a few hours.
Take Prenatal Vitamins
Available from 12:00 PM to 5:59 PM.
This is the afternoon prenatal vitamin option. The Sim’s hunger can decrease a little slower for a few hours.
Take Bedtime Vitamins
Available from 6:00 PM to 4:59 AM.
Bedtime vitamins are designed as a quiet evening or overnight care routine before rest. The sim’s hunger can decrease a little slower for a few hours.
Moodlets
Prepared for Baby
It gives the Sim a gentle Confident moodlet for 2 in-game hours.
Responsible Routine
Responsible Routine is an extra moodlet for Sims who have one of the supported traits Family-Oriented or Neat. It gives the Sim a Confident moodlet for 1 in-game hour.
Notifications
Each vitamin interaction shows a notification wall message to explain the routine benefit without adding too many moodlets.
What’s New in Version 1.2
This update was shaped by a suggestion from the community. Sometimes prenatal vitamins can make a Sim feel a little queasy. It’s a soft storytelling detail, there to make the routine feel a bit more realistic.
There are also new care interactions that are not just about taking vitamins:
- Take a Deep Breath gives pregnant Sims a small calming moment when they need to slow down. It adds a short positive moodlet and is meant to feel like a quiet reset.
- Research Prenatal Vitamins lets a Sim use their phone to learn a little more about prenatal care. Instead of adding another moodlet, it gives a notification with simple information related to pregnancy vitamins.
- Remind to Take Vitamins, Check In About Pregnancy, and Offer Prenatal Support bring partners and family members into the routine through the tray, letting them remind a pregnant Sim to take vitamins, check in on how the pregnancy is going, or offer their support.
Partners and family members can now be part of the pregnancy routine too, not just the pregnant Sim. These interactions are meant to make the household feel more involved, especially in storytelling saves where pregnancy is a shared family moment.
Try having a partner remind their pregnant Sim to take vitamins in the evening, let an older sibling check in about the pregnancy during the day, or have a parent offer prenatal support for a more lived-in family dynamic.
Compatibility
Version 1 is a base game Mod. The core gameplay does not require optional pack.
How to use it
Place the Prenatal Wellness Tray somewhere that fits a nursery, bedroom, bathroom, kitchen counter, or family preparation area.
Use the tray once during each part of the day that fits your Sim’s routine: Morning, Afternoon or Bedtime.
The mod is intended as a small storytelling and wellness detail for pregnancy gameplay.
Installation
- Place both .package files together into your The Sims 4 Mods folder.
- Make sure custom content and script mods are enabled in your game options.
Required files
– SIXAMcc_BOTW-PrenatalWellnessTray.package
– SIXAMcc_BOTW-PrenatalWellnessTray_Bottle.package
Both files are required. They should be installed together and should not be merged.
NOTE: I’m definitely not an expert on pregnancy. I did some research and asked a few friends for their thoughts, so I’m open to feedback and suggestions on how to make the gameplay experience in this mod even better 😊
